The Global Open University has undertaken major expansion plans. The university Chancellor Dr.P.R.Trivedi announced today the opening of its international administrative offices in the United States of America. The International offices will coordinate its global outreach. Dr. Trivedi also inaugurated the new interactive corporate website for the University which can be viewed at http://www.globalopenuniversity.org. The site will serve as the point-of-contact for various campuses and student body. He explained that the latest and improved site was the virtual campus of the University.

Spelling out his vision for the University he stated that The Global Open University will produce skilled workforce and not mere degree holders. It will usher in a new era of job harvest in Zambia. Addressing a huge gathering at the New Delhi Campus he announced new administrative partnership with Dr. Bernard Malik Director International Educational Initiatives. He termed this collaboration as an important mile-stone in the history of this young institution. He said together we will promote the opportunities for further and higher education in Zambia, ensuring that local employers have a skilled workforce to draw on - thus encouraging the benefits for new businesses in relocating to the country. He said the new developments were part of its drive to expand its presence worldwide and strengthen the academic offerings and administrative capacity.
